"i guess i love archaeology and architecture thats how it all started i wanted to do something that had a lot of architecture in it something that i could actually build while also creating art so its a combination of sculptures and art"
what makes someone an artist?
"an artist is someone who can't not make art. i dont think i could go one week without doing it its almost a disease. something i just have to deal with and fit into my life otherwise i wouldnt be full"
what kind of art are presenting at the show?
mostly abstract, figurative colors, shapes

what motivates and inspires you to make art?
"motivators are everything, my wife, shes kinda my agent, my motivator, my biggest fan, without her i probably wouldn't make as much as i do. everything, music, movies, im huge into indie music, anything new, i keep hearing new things"
what are some things you do in your past time when you're not being an art teacher?
"when im not doing art i coach soccer at akins, i like to play soccer on my own, i play in a league, movies, film, old film, just finding new music, probably my biggest passions"
what are some of your favorite artists or art pieces from other people?
"gustav klimt and salvador dali, i can't do what they do so i love them"
what are the challenges of teaching high school students about art?
"it's more difficult to break things down in to steps to me i just understand it and i know how to do most of the things but to actually understand it and break it down to someone who doesn't thats the biggest challenge"
what were you looking forward to the most at this art show?
"mostly to see friends, family, all the people in the show, good friends of mine, getting people to see our art"

is there anything you have to say to any aspiring artists?
"try something different try something you're not sure of and afraid of, i try to do things im not too sure of and those are usually whats a little more exciting"
if you weren't teaching art what is another career path you'd go for?
"if i wasnt teaching art, its hard to imagine, i started off wanting to be a teacher, i started off being a studio artist, wanting to be an artist, now that im teaching i cant really imagine doing anything else but if I had to, i'd probably be in the music business, a journalist, or i'd probably be in a basement blogging about music"
have you had any experience before with art shows? are you expecting people to buy your art work at this show?
"minimal, first actual big show for me" other art pieces at kerbey lane on the drag, it's kind of a big month, some of his art work is at school
"haven't sold any yet, i've sold a few to friends" illustrations on his website, he's sold about 5 of those
how would you describe your high-school self?
"relate really well to students, im hoping that ill always relate to the kids, i like most of the things they like, i have that youthful energy"
